I had to limit myself to one album per artist just to attempt to make it easy, but it was still near-impossible. I really was born in the wrong decade.

*there are few albums that divide my opinion as much as this one. There's a lot of songs that I love (Stray Cat Blues - maybe my favourite Stones song - , Jigsaw Puzzle, Street Fighting Man, No Expectations,...), and then there are some that I just can't listen to (Parachute Woman, Factory Girl, Prodigal Son).

I would have thought Pet Sounds would be a sure candidate for the Top Ten, since it's routinely in the top ranks of "Best Albums of all time"* lists, but it wasn't even close.

* no matter that I hate list titles like that

Yeah, a little too predictable, to be honest. I would have thought the CCR, Janis Joplin and Jefferson Airplane would have made it. Also, the only artist of color on that list is Hendrix. Where's Otis Redding, The Temptations or Aretha Franklin?

I was happy to see The Band, CSN and Bob Dylan make it, regardless.

I had the Hendrix album until someone stoled it. The whole album was just awesome and one of my favorite all time albums I've ever owned.

Other then the ranking, not to many surprises.

Congratulations Fin :D and thank you Farin and Lucky

No surprises... except for Otis Redding and CCR, they should've been there too...

I think it's the first time one of my nominations makes it at #1... I love Rubber Soul, it's "the sound of the sixties" for me.
