Never saw the movie, but happy flashback with "Riot Radio" by the Dead 60's. :thumbsup:

Also Richard Hawley (previously of the Longpigs and touring guitarist for Pulp) is one of the best British singer/songwriters of the decade. He's not really 'rock' per se (comparisons would be Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash and Scott Walker) so I don't think its quite what you're looking for but his songs are very lovely.

I'm not really a big fan of Coldplay or Bravery, but I have a few of their songs on my iPod. I don't know which other bands you are referring to on my initial list.
