Wyld Card 5
What are some bands that you like, but don't care much for their most popular / overplayed song? Some of mine: Rock & Roll All Night - KISS Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N' Roses Enter Sandman - Metallica Zeppelin's is Stairway, which I like, but I don't really see much in Whole Lotta Love which is probably their 2nd most played on the radio. skybluesky 0
I really hate Hotel California. I know I'm going to get crap for that, but the classic rock station where I used to live played that song about ten times every day and now I can't even stomach it.
Farin 2
Blur's Song 2 is the definition of 'overplayed'
edna 6
I hate Yesterday and Satisfaction.
Jenny 2
I don't know if it's his most popular song, but I don't like "Uptown Girl" by Billy Joel.
Wyld Card 5
I don't know if it's his most popular song, but I don't like "Uptown Girl" by Billy Joel. It was the most popular of 80's Joel, just don't know about it compared to Piano Man.
RockyRaccoon 0
I really don't like "Sweet Home Alabama"
BlueAngel 0
"Creep" - Radiohead
JumboXL 0
I am very much a Rolling Stones fan, have been so since I heard "It's All Over Now" the first time on a transistor radio. And I have very much disliked, from the first time I ever heard it, one of the most favoured Stones ballads: "Angie". Still zapping away from it.
Carl 22
I love The Beatles and Elton John, but each have a massive hit anthem song that I find cloying and endless: Elton: Bennie and the Jets Beatles: Hey Jude
Lucky 5
I am very much a Rolling Stones fan, have been so since I heard "It's All Over Now" the first time on a transistor radio. And I have very much disliked, from the first time I ever heard it, one of the most favoured Stones ballads: "Angie". Still zapping away from it. thank you. I cannot abide that song. And, like rg, I really don't like Hotel California either. It's Joe Walsh's guitar that makes the song, the Eagles have much better songs. Edited March 5, 2010 by Guest and... c_s_1987 0
Genesis are the perfect example of this. They are one of my favourite bands, yet I don't particularly like any of their twenty or so hit singles.
Wyld Card 5
Genesis are the perfect example of this. They are one of my favourite bands, yet I don't particularly like any of their twenty or so hit singles. The only hit of theirs I like is Land of Confusion. No Son of Mine is an okay song, but I don't like the rest (Phil Collins era)
cyberjudge 0
I like Bruce ... but I never really cared much for "Born to Run".
Wyld Card 5
I like REO Speedwagon okay, but not I Can't Fight This Feeling (if that is their most popular song) Same for Tom Sawyer by Rush.
Shawna 1
I love me some Stevie-era Fleetwood Mac, but "Gypsy" has always caused me to change the radio station. And in the '70s I was a tight-pants-Euro-dude-Rod-Stewart fan, but "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" Not so much.
skybluesky 0
That one I don't mind so much, but I HATE "Tonight's the Night"
Wyld Card 5
Gypsy isn't really one of their most popular though. Did you know Ms Nicks wrote that song for a friend who died of leukemia?
bazooka 0
Beatles: Hey Jude
Ombre Vivante 0
I don't really care for "Just Can't Get Enough" by Depeche Mode as well as "Situation" and "Don't Go" by Yazoo (all composed by Vince Clarke). It's not that I think they're bad songs, but they're waaaaay overplayed on 80s flashback hours. They killed the novelty of the songs.

pinkstones 0
I don't care for it either. There's other songs on the album I like more, such as New Kid In Town.
