Carl
Did you guys like Nevermind/Teen Spirit when it came out and just got sick of it, or never liked it? I remember Teen Spirit being the best thing on the radio for about 2 months, but when the hype set in it did get a little damp.
MindCrime
I liked Nevermind for a few years, it was my most played cd for quite a while back then, but then I got sick of the radio hits (Teen Spirit, Come As You Are, In Bloom, and Lithium). I still like the rest of the album though.
MuzikTyme
Funny you mention that. I recall listening to an underground radio station that only aired one hour a week! It was on Sunday nights between 12 midnight and one o'clock AM. It was called "Wet Paint." It was listening to those programs that I heard the likes of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, STP, Alice-n-Chains and many other influential "rock" bands of the early 90s that had not yet gone "mainstream." But keeping with the flow of this thread; I don't think any "popular" song by a given band is their best effort. On the contrary, it's the B-side that I always tune into! Rock on!
