cyberjudge
Great job! Nice mix of 60's, 70's & 80's. I'm glad to see a lot of support for many different songs, and I'm particularly impressed with the showings for Crazy, which just missed the top 10, and Over the Rainbow, which outpointed a lot of the rock-era megahits. Steel2Velvet
Great job! ... I'm particularly impressed with the showings for ... Over the Rainbow, which outpointed a lot of the rock-era megahits. If memory serves me correctly, it was only on about 3 ballots. But when scored, it scored high each time. It is one of those songs that if one loves it - they really love it a lot! A testament to the power of music to stir up and restore memories, no doubt. I think most of us can relate to that song in some form, but in context of appreciation for the music in your list, there was a lot of confliction to scale it against modern pop and R&R. If the theme to the songs you had listed was nostalgia or show tunes, it very well might have won.
Lucky
I was one of the 3 ballots, and it was my #1. I guess I'm one of those that really loves Over the Rainbow. It crosses all boundaries for me. But then my #2 was Mrs Robinson ... Great list cj!

Tenacious_Peaches
Cj, I was so close to voting for Celine. She doesn't get much love around these parts. I feel bad that she got no points at all. Same with "crack is wack" Whitney.
