IT'S EASY Allot your points in 3 sections:

PART A: 5 Existing songs in Top 40 #40 (below) you'd like to advance:

Being that I'm the "new guy" here, I was just wondering on the rules in voting. What songs are eligible? Post 1950 or post Elvis (1956)? I enjoy everything from Les Paul & Mary Ford, Four Aces and Eddie Fisher of the early 50's to Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley and Brook Benton of the late 50's. I was just wondering where the starting point was. I collect music and charts so I know what was popular and when. If in doubt go to Google Books and type in either an artist/song or even something like "1953 Billboard" (or any other year/month combination with the word Billboard) and you can skim through back issues of Billboard Magazine. Thanks

Great to see Quarter To Three getting so much support. It's one of my favorite songs. :)

I've gotten it in here before, but if it's up for reconsideration, then I might vote again to support it this week.

It was even considered as a candidate for my PT10, but quickly dropped out in the elimination stage.

Well, folks, it’s time for another Golden Oldies Top 40. I’m DJ Ceejay and I’ll be your host as we count down this week’s oldies’ favorites on songfacts.com.

Last week, Conway Twitty topped our chart with It’s Only Make Believe. Will it stay another week at #1? Believe it … or not? We’ll see in just a bit.

4 songs drop out this week:

Greenfields by the Brothers Four

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer by Gene Autry

Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt, and

White Christmas by Bing Crosby

That opens the door for 4 new songs. Leading off at #40 is the 1st hit on our chart for Millie Small, My Boy Lollipop. And coming in at #36 is Bruce Channel’s 1st entry, Hey Baby.

TW 31 LW 20 (18) ALL THE WAY FRANK SINATRA

TW 32 LW 34 (16) LONG TALL SALLY LITTLE RICHARD

Len Barry and the Dovells stomp their way into the countdown at #30 with the Bristol Stomp. And the highest debut this week is no stranger to our countdown. Re-entering the chart this week at #26 is Quarter to Three by Gary “U.S.†Bonds, which peaked at #18 its 1st try.

TW 21 LW 22 (7) ROCKIN’ AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE BRENDA LEE

TW 22 LW 19 (15) SINGING THE BLUES GUY MITCHELL

TW 23 LW 24 (7) JINGLE BELL ROCK BOBBY HELMS
