MindCrime Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 95 Kiss - Rock And Roll All Night My most hated of their stuff, completely overrated 94 U2 - Where The Streets Have No Name I can't believe this was picked as their best song. I wouldn't even rank it in the top 10 of U2's finest. Nice to see Zep & Floyd with 7 each in the 100.
cyberjudge Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 This is like an encyclopedia of classic rock. I have added 104.3 to my radio presets & I will be setting up a playlist on my iPod just for songs on this list.
RonJonSurfer Posted December 10, 2009 Author Report Posted December 10, 2009 If you go to the Q104.3 web site here: http://www.q1043.com/pages/top1043/2009.html and click in the red box that says "Complete 2009 List in Photos" you'll be treated to some great photos of each artist representing that particular song.
jblattnerNYC Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 thanks for posting! and i love cyberjudge's idea for making an ipod playlist with songs from the list
chutzpah Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Very good... that's alot of music...
jblattnerNYC Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) awesome list...surprised that theres no velvet underground or love on the list. the velvets made it with a few songs in the past couple of years Edited December 12, 2009 by Guest
jblattnerNYC Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 the other NYC rock station...my personal favorite, 101.9 RXP, released a list 1,019 rock songs during Labor Day Weekend 2009. This station plays a mix of classic rock, new rock, and alternative music...and has a list very different from this, but equally as awesome. I will post the whole list here upon request, but if not here's the link http://www.1019rxp.com/music/RockCountdownOffical.aspx. I love Q104.3, but I personally favor RXP because I like the variety of rock. Thanks, you guys that contribute on this page rule!
RonJonSurfer Posted December 18, 2009 Author Report Posted December 18, 2009 RXP is really good too. Matt Pinfield is their morning guy and he started his career with Rutgers radio WRSU. My son has a weekly show on WRSU now.
MindCrime Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 Matt Pinfield used to be a VeeJay on MTV for a while in the late 90's. He's really knowledgeable about music.
jblattnerNYC Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 its that time of the year again....who's ready to vote for their 10 songs for the 2010 list??? I'm going to put some classic velvet underground, stooges, MC5, and new york dolls on mine.
RonJonSurfer Posted October 8, 2010 Author Report Posted October 8, 2010 I'm ready to join in with some classics myself...
