CaptainMikeRS
Has anyone else heard of this awesome Irish chamber pop band? I have an album by them and see them on the Celtic channel's TV show Wired. I just don't know of anyone else who knows of them.
XXX
I have a best hits compilation by them. They've been around long enough to have one :: I don't own any of their albums and they are not played in the radio here. This was a hit or miss purchase I made years ago. Danielj
So was it a hit...or a miss?
XXX
So was it a hit...or a miss? A hit for me, but I wouldn't recommend it for the casual listener... unless you already listen to stuff like Belle And Sebastian, The Stone Roses, Blonde Redhead, Pulp, Prefab Sprout, and such. Listen to these, if you like them, buy The Divine Comedy - you will love it

SoulGirl
mad into them at one point, mainly my big brother's influence. saw them in concert once in a small lecture theatre in limerick. it was amazing! neil hannon is the brains of the operation, he is the divine comedy as it were, and he's a very witty man with huge charisma. they've been around a good ten years at least with albums such as liberation, promenade, fin de siecle and the new one absent friends. his lyrics are quite literary and funny but i agree with xxx, not for the casual listener. try it tho, you might just like it!
