MindCrime
BTW...perhaps Christmas Movies would be a good topic in the next month or so. Here's one alphabetical list of Christmas Movies That's been the plan all along, I just didn't make much mention of it, because it's kind of a surprise. Tenacious_Peaches
^ I was waiting for you to nominate Sweeney Todd, TimLizzy. I swear I remember Ed Helms busting out with a full on musical number from 1776 on the old Late Night with Conan O'Brien, but I cannot find the video for the life of me. You'd love it. Tenacious_Peaches
Apparently all the crack I smoked in the 90s has caught up with me because the clip I was thinking of was from Les Miserables. Still pretty flipping funny, nonetheless.

bluesboy
I feel in this category you can't compare apples to oranges. You can't compare musicals to musical biopics to rockumentaries to dynamite musical soundtracks. Maybe music of choice can do rockumentaries. Here's my votes... 1. Wizard of Oz 2. Sound of Music 3. Singin' in the Rain 4. My Fair Lady 5. Oklahoma 6. Grease 7. West Side Story 8. Guys and Dolls 9. Across the Universe 10. Chicago 11. Hair 12. Jesus Christ Superstar
Uncle Joe
1-Singin' in the Rain 2-Rocky Horror Picture Show 3-Jesus Christ Superstar 4-Hair 5-West Side Story 6-Sound of Music 7-Wizard of Oz 8-Grease 9-Guys and Dolls 10-Saturday Night Fever It's tough diffrentiating between Broadway and Hollywood but I tried. I also tried to keep my list to actual "musicals" rather than movies about musicians which include music...not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm not sure that I really consider Saturday Night Fever a musical in the truest sense...but it did have some great music.
