blind-fitter
Early 80s tribal popsters Bow Wow Wow did a cracking stylised version of the '40s classic "Fools Rush In (Where Angels Fear To Tread, etc.)", the mere thought of which has teased my brain all day. I even burst into spontaneous song once or twice. No doubt, it'll distress the Sinatra fans, though: "Fools Rush In" - Bow Wow Wow
Steel2Velvet
Ha! Great rendition of that classic, B-F. The ability of today's artists to pay tribute to those writers, producers and singers of the past through their interpretations of those standards is most intriguing to me. Some of the early songs were sublimely simple and yet still touch the same places of the heart today as they did 75 years ago. Dr. John guest performed this standard with Steve Tyrell on his album, Carpe Diem. You've Got A Friend In Me George Michael cut an album with quite a few standards on it titled Songs from the Last Century.
