Carl
Known for their hit "Zoot Suit Riot," The Cherry Poppin' Daddies vanished when the swing craze ran its course, but now they're back with 2 new albums - one Ska, another Rock. Once that Gap ad hit using "Jump, Jive and Wail," Swing music became the rage and the Daddies got their shot, having waited out the Grunge trend. Like most "Swing" bands, they were really more of a Ska/Punk band with the ability to bend the genre a bit. What makes them interesting is the quality of their music and the cerebral nature of their lead singer Steve Perry. We did an email interview where he gave the most interesting analysis of the Swing Craze that I've seen so far, and a great explanation for the band's name - a question I hate to ask, but couldn't find the answer to anywhere. Check out the Interview with Steve Perry.
MindCrime
At first I thought this was about the more famous 'other Steve Perry' but interesting interview nonetheless.
