MindCrime
In this Top 10 special, we will be doing a non-music theme. We ask you to nominate two Horror or Thriller movies that you feel are overall terrifying films for the month of Halloween - October. The same regular rules that go with the top 10s applies here. First week is for nominations, then the regular top 10 voting will go on for another week or until everybody has their votes in. Please let us have your nominations now Edited October 2, 2009 by Guest added to topic
skybluesky
Psycho-Alfred Hitchcock-1960 Pscyho is more of a thriller than a true horror film, but its influence on the horror genre is undeniable. Halloween-John Carpenter-1978 Perfectly matching nominations, given that Jamie Lee Curtis is Janet Leigh's daughter.

MindCrime
Glitter The Mariah Carey movie? Does Dark Knight count as a horror or halloween movie? I need a few opinions on this from people who have seen it.
skybluesky
IMDB classifies The Dark Knight as both Crime and Thriller. Maybe the topic should be Thriller Films instead of Horror, because one could split hairs as to what is truly a thriller, and what is truly a horror film. skybluesky
And now you can nominate The Dark Knight. (That's the most menacing smiley I could find.)
MindCrime
It fits the costumes theme, but I'm not sure it was scarey enough.
Farin
The Blair Witch Project (1999) I like this film especially because it goes against all horror clichés... there's not even a bad guy but still... Shawna
1. The Haunting . The scariest movie I've ever seen, and it's so old it doesn't even have special effects! Which makes it even more scary and realistic. 2. Jaws . "You're gonna need a bigger boat."
berjo1429030949
1) The Changeling (1980) - the George C. Scott film. A really creepy film. 2) The Legend of Hell House (1973) - another that creeped me out over the years. Fans of "The Haunting" would enjoy it. Jenny
Misery - Starring James Caan and Kathy Bates. One of the few Stephen King movies that was almost as good as the book Poltergeist (1982) I saw this when I was 11 or so. Some scenes still send a chill up my spine.
