BlueAngel
Darryl, thanks for your vote, I don't see you too much outside the Golden Oldies. Lucky, I'm sure I'll like the outcome, I trust you all... Farin, I like the way you think. It's not often I compliment somebody on their excellent taste, but on this occasion, consider it done. Blue Angel: Praise from Caesar, grazie.
Farin
Farin, I like the way you think. good, I was actually a bit worried about that for the people who haven't voted yet: how long do you think you'll need?
Levis
This was.... 1. Bitter Sweet Symphony - The Verve 2. Live Forever - Oasis 3. You Know You're Right - Nirvana 4. Fool's Gold - The Stone Roses 5. Come Together - Spiritualized 6. Protection - Massive Attack 7. Blue Monday - New Order 8. Galvanise - Chemical Brothers 9. Panic - The Smiths 10. 12:51 - The Strokes ... surprisingly easy. The hardest part was ranking my top 3. The Seeker
Well, you/we sure managed to pick the 9 'old' songs that were on the original list It IS a nice list, no doubt about it, but I would've liked a more current Ten for Blue Angel. Hope she'll like it anyway

I mean, at least it's 76... the first seven ones are really old. Good Top, BlueAngel
pinkstones
When The Levee Breaks is Led Zeppelin's best song IMO, so I cannot argue with its placement at #1. I'm quite thankful now, that I switched it out for another Zep song. LOL Helpless and For No One are the other two songs that made it that I really, really love. No complaints from me! edna
I prefer other Zepp songs but Fire and Rain was in my Top 50 list. And Helpless and For No One would be among my other 50.

Lucky
A bit classic isn't it? I'm surprised as well, but hey the girl's got great taste, I'm sure she'll like the result. I know I do.
Tenacious_Peaches
I liked your noms, Blue. Sorry I missed the voting time. BlueAngel
I liked your noms, Blue. Sorry I missed the voting time. No problem, though I would have liked to see your take on them. Well I for one am quite pleased with the result. I wouldn't have nominated any song I was not happy to see in the final ten. These songs are equal in my eyes regardless of year so I'm not unhappy (or surprised) more modern songs didn't make it. I was content if some of the lesser known songs got even a single vote (though poor Tricky and Dinosaur Jr. as Levis pointed out ). I appreciate you all listening to them even if you already had the ones you were going to vote for which were more your taste. Thank you everyone for taking the time to listen and participate and for your positive comments and feedback. I hope this was as fun for others as it was for me. OLD 55
Good on you Nicole. Some nice music there. I even voted for The Verve - that's a great song. Better than a Ledbloodyzeppelin marathon. That's the short version is it ? Only 7 minutes. Of course many people here would vote for Roger Plant just burping. pinkstones
When The Levee Breaks is about 7 minutes long on the album. So there's only one version of it. They never did it live because they couldn't replicate the sound of Bonham's drums, at least that's how I recall Page discussing it.
OLD 55
Pink, anything I say about Zep is probably facetious. We went through a time in the Top Ten when almost anything by them was sure to make the Top Ten, likely #1. I said that the participants at that time would would probably 'even vote for Robert Plant burping'. Chris(cs1987) answered that by designing the famous pic in my last post, and using it as his avatar for a time. I thought it was so funny I saved it.
