Any suggestions for songs with hand clapping in them? No particular reason. I just think they sound cool. :)

I've got Radio Ga Ga by Queen and Cinnamon Girl by Neil Young ...

Iko Iko - The Dixie Cups

Let's Go - The Cars

Take The Money And Run - Steve Miller

There's some good ones mentioned already. :)

Some songs I'm never sure if it's actual clapping or drum machines/synthesisers - e.g. The Clash's Rock The Casbah ? J C Mellencamp's Jack And Diane ? We Will Rock You - Queen? Mickey - Tony Basil?

You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night) - Meat Loaf.

For sure, but right at the end.

+ some older ones I remember from the 60s. Maybe too old ?

Clap Your Hands - Beau-Marks (Canadian Group) 1960

The Clapping Song - Shirley Ellis 1965

Thank The Lord For The Night Time - Neil Diamond 1967

A real good handclapping song seems to me:

Santa Esmeralda's Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood.

The first part of this clip gives a hint why.

Where the clips stops, the album version continues with minutes of Andalusian handclapping.

Olé!

I reckon my favourite "clap" song is this even though they aren't clapping, it sounds much like it.

Just listen to the song (minimize window) and watch Ujoe's wonderful clarification below... it works!

If we've learned anything from "The Darkside of Oz" and, we haven't, it would be this even better sync.

This is as good as it gets, IMHO.

:P
