Abortion Doctor Killed In Church

Recommended Posts

.. The holy triumvirate of ignorance and hate.

Hate mongering is very often a two-way street.

I am unfamiliar with that interview, but from reading the quotes, it appears Coulter attempted to invoke irony by flip-flopping the language that the abortion machinery (and probably the murdered doctor as well) has, for many years, used in attempting to mitigate their assault on preborn human beings. Her comments were no more nor less appropriate than those of the industry she was attacking.

It's one thing to attack an industry, it's another to joke about and practically endorse the cold blooded gunning down of a man.

Anti-abortion peoples: But abortion is murder.

Me: No it's not.

AAP: Yeah it is.

And the argument goes on and on and nobody's mind is changed. :P

... because it is important for the life of this indusrty to maintain focus on trivialites external (meaning the loose cannon comments of headliners like Coulter - not referring to the unwarranted death of the doctor) in order to distract from the havoc wreaked inside the wombs of women.

It is the old "bait and switch" game.

How can you make such a statement unless you are in the room with those same 93%? Unless you are in their situation? Perhaps the "havoc" wreaked inside their wombs is nothing compared to the havoc of their lives? :P

Pro-lifers always want to use inflammatory words like Pro-abortion or Pro-murder to describe those that believe the opposite of themselves. Pro-murder sounds like the perfect description for Ms Coulter and her ilk. A man (a father, and a husband) was murdered. And she makes jokes. She is a sad excuse for a human being.

"I don't really like to think of it as a murder. It was terminating Tiller in the 203rd trimester."

When pressed by O'Reilly on this statement, Coulter replied,

"I am personally opposed to shooting abortionists, but I don't want to impose my moral values on others."

1. you call this^ 'dark humour'?

and 2. you really think it's okay for them to make fun of his murder because he did abortions?

wow :stars: :(

The point of this thread was not abortion, but the murder of an individual. The murder of a doctor who performed abortions, yes, but murder all the same. I don't consider the bile spouted by Coulter and her ilk dark humor at all, but sheer insensitivity to a family mourning a tragic death. Not a humorous comment made in the private, but publically, on television. Absolutely no respect for this family whatsoever.

That is why I referred it to as "dark-humour." It's like abortion jokes (there's even shirts about it) or quotes such as "hanging out at abortion clinics is cool because you meet a lot of sluts there" (I'm paraphrasing a Kevin Smith movie). You're gonna get bent outta shape over that? Wow :beatnik:

Not too soon, too disrespectful. This mans family are alive, they watch television, they see and here this. That was a public comment made by a woman with absolutely no regard for this man's children. If you don't see the wrong in that then move over Ann Coulter, Bitter freaking Almonds is moving in.

Yes, Farin and that slap head, roll eyes attitude was the prevelant attitude 70 years ago toward citizens who said something was not right in Germany.

GODWIN'S LAW strikes again!

and thank you about lecturing ME about National Socialism - I think I know a bit more than you about it though!

it's obvious that there will be no real discussion in this thread anymore, so over and out for me.

Bait and switch.

Bait and switch.

50 million American babies haven't been murdered. A doctor in Kansas was murdered, for God's sake!

An abortion procedure isn't horrendous. Ann Coulter's scathing remarks are horrendous!

The murder was the topic not abortion, and Steel you are coming mighty close to the defense of a comment that I'd never have believed you would suppot. If you all don't think that the God Almighty Pro lifers can't manipulate statistics and words with the bait and switch game, you are seriously mistaken.

I knew better than to open my mouth, and I honestly apologize for publically saying things better kept to myself. Y'all can carry on.
