Lucky
And guess which Group was #1 this week in 1964 I'm guessing here. Edited May 30, 2009 by Guest
pinkstones
You'd be right. The Dixie Cups usurped that position the next week, though.
OLD 55
You sure would be right Lucky. 'Love Me Do' was their fourth of six #1s in 1964. And 'Chapel Of Love'/ The Dixie Cups took over from it first week in June, as Pink said. That would be a good nomination here Pink; and maybe in the regular Ten too. You don't happen to be a Chart Buff like me, do you Pink ? I have two shelves of books about Music Charts/Trivia in my office, plus another one of Music Biographies. edna
Oh, of course... them!
cyberjudge
Chapel of Love would not be eligible here as it did not chart until 1964. It would of course be OK to nominate for the regular TT.
pinkstones
No, I'm not a chart buff. Music trivia is interesting to me, but I couldn't tell you what was #whatever on the charts when.
OLD 55
I forgot we were talking 1964 Jeff. I made 1963 the cutoff to exclude the 'British Invasion'. Them and Co. as Elena said. Not that I have anything against Them and Co (love them), but I wanted to keep to a more simplistic time. Well, it's perceived as that anyway. You have a good allround music knowledge Pink. VOTING FOR TOP 40 #17 IS NOW OPEN.
