scott
I just picked up Cheap Trick's (I thought they had gone the way of REO speedwagon) new CD, "Special One" and i really really really recommend it, just a few of my favorites from it are, "Scent of a Woman" (just a fun up tempo song) "Special One" (one that kind of differs from Cheap Trick's usual style, it's more complex) "Pop Drone" (a lash out to the pop music world, very cool ) and "My Obsession" (my favorite song from the album, it's awesome ) and those are just my favorites, there are a lot of other good ones too. But i recommend that everyone here goes out and buys this album (try to get the one with the DVD, the CD still only costs thirteen bucks and the DVD has some cool stuff on it) and then i recommend that everyone gets Warren Zevon's "the Wind" also, because i believe that those are the two best albums of 2003 (along with all the stuff Johnny Cash released)
Slothchild64
Ah, Cheap Trick! Only one of my favorite bands EVER! It's great to hear that they're still putting out good stuff. I'll have to pick up the new CD!
chilly
Who could ever forget them? What with that wacky guitarist dressed like a schoolboy and the drummer who always looked like your 5th grade english teacher. The drummer recently did a commercial for Target and he was jammin' his drums like he was always so good at. The guitar guy always played a double neck (?)guitar and man was/is he good! My fav album was "The Dream Police"...
Catherine
I remember them! My God, the biggest tune when I was growing up was I Want You to Want Me! Robin Zander was actually considered sexy! :: *screeeech* Then there is the "newer" Cheap Trick...Tonight It's You is good, as is If You Want My Love (you got it). Eggplant
Cheap Trick also made a cameo appearance in the Eddie Murphy film "Daddy Daycare". Yes I have kids! Why else would I see this movie??

dA_mAnDa
I like them...they give a very good concert when me and Tamuril_1024 and our dad seen them last year in concert at the Burlington SteamBoat Days. Speaking of that concert, on the south stage where the local bands, etc. play I heard this young blues singer named J.D. Simo he was really amazing, he is the next Stevie Ray Vaughn, in my opinion. And it is close to one of my favorite concert moments so far!
Tenacious_Peaches
"I Want You to Want Me" is one of the ultimate earworms for me. I double dog dare you to not sing along with the chorus. And "Surrender" was such a cool song...it was very scandalous to me at a young age. Whatever happened to all the Caesars, losers of the year? Ev'ry time I got to thinking, where'd they disappear? When I woke up, Mom and Dad are rolling on the couch. Rolling numbers, rock and rolling, got my Kiss records out. Mommy's alright, Daddy's alright, they just seem a little weird. Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away, ay, ay, ay. I won't even go into the obligatory 80s cheese-fest that was "The Flame". Edited September 9, 2005 by Guest Sammy is da bomb and alerted me that I posted the wrong lyrics. I love you, Sammy! edna
Sammy is Cheap Trick expert here... and these two songs are the most exciting ones, they play one after the other on the Budokan live album... I had "Surrender" as the outgoing message on my answering machine for many months...

miamisammy29
MUSICAL INTERLUDE: "Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell. Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell. Ambition? ha! If all I've heard is true, There's nothin' much I can do To change the world, it's irreversible. But in what it lacks, It's got a taste that smacks of something irresistable. Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell. Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell. Submission? yes! Now I won't name names, and a secret's a secret, But a hint's a hint or a clue. You really wanna know, you really wanna go, There's only two things you got to do. Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell. Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell. Mother, mother. Mother, mother. Mother, mother. My mission? ah, yes! Everybody hear? everybody here, It's a fate, I all agree. Sometimes you win, I never lose, To me it's no mystery. Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell. Gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell, gonna raise hell."

EagleEye0
Sorry to Say, I can never bring myself to listen to Cheap Trick. I cannot take them seriously as a band. Theyre are a average band. I am NOT ignorant; I've heard there stuff and simply do not enjoy it.
