The Seeker
No, You're Gonna Lose That Girl wasn't nominated. And Darryl nominated How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You and Please Mr. Postman.
LeeBB
I must be going insane... either that or Darryl changed/edited his nomination. I could swear he said "I'm sorry, but it's been months since I nominated a Beatles song." Anyway, I was just driving along wondering how I managed to leave that song out of my 10. Now I know. Darryl is obviously trying to mess with my head. Like Alan Arkin in "Wait Until Dark". Which of course makes me Audrey Hepburn ;-) LBBB Edited April 17, 2009 by Guest
edna
I posted I was planning to nominate "Baby´s In Black"... maybe that´s what you mean? The point is that nominating such songs is not such fun... I positively know it will make the Top. But hey, anyways, I will... And if you nominate "You´re gonna..." of course, it will get my vote... OLD 55
Lee, I did have it, but I found that someone had nominated it before. I'll only renominate my own original nominations, not other peoples'. If 'You're Going To Lose That Girl' is renominated by someone else in a future Top Ten I'll certainly vote for it. It's always been one of my favorites off 'Help'. I was intending to nominate 'She's Leaving Home'. It's been on my Lista for a long time, but I was reluctant to nominate it because Mike started a Thread about the story behind the song, and I didn't want people to think I stole it from there. Of course, if Elena nominates 'Baby's In Black' next week I'll hold it over. Also, there's some stigma associated with nominating Beatles' songs - but what the heck - I haven't nominated one for 9 months.
LeeBB
A great song, sure, but definitely my favourite film clip in Help! A very classic forward-looking clip, inspiration for many over the years. Thanks heaps, Audrey.

OLD 55
I just PT'd you to say 'please go ahead and nominate Baby's..' I went for my dinner and gulped it down quickly so I could get back. But our local Footy Team is playing soon, so I won't be staying.
