MuzikTyme
yeah, I guess the '60s were mostly solid in that regard. there was some pretty crappy bubblegum pop though. I'd say that every era had it's share of bad hit music Many good songs circa new mil. Granted! It's just, well, my old dinosaur-unfrozen-caveman-lawyer justifies good music is where one finds it. Me? I happened to find it in the 70s. Whoever you are, love the music you love, regardless of ANY time-frame! Oh, I couldn't help myself . . . because music is Gold Peace
Batman
Yeah the most popular music in the 60's (as far as I know) was the Beatles and motown, both of which I would consider the best music from the 60's. There was some stuff that got popular that I personally find pretty bland though, like most of the British invasion minus the Beatles. I really can't figure out a good reason to explain why top 40 radio decided to stop marketing the best music available to them. Everyone once in a while a song gets in the top 40 that's really good though. A lot of Beyonce's hits come to mind...
