poesph
Fat Lip - Sum 41 Heavy metal and mullets, it's how we were raised. MAIDEN and PRIEST were the gods that we praised. Till I Collapse - Eminem I got a list here's the order of my list that it's in. It goes, Reggie, Jay-Z, Tupac and Biggie, Andre from Outcast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas and then me. But in this industry I'm the cause of a lot of envy, so when I’m not put on this list the ******* does not offend me. That's why you see me walk around like nothing's bothering me. Even though half you people got a ******* problem with me. You hate it but you know respect you’ve got to give me The press's wet dream like Bobby and Whitney. Nate hit me. Eminem - We Made You Jessica Simpson...singing the chorus! Brit, forget K-Fed, let's cut out the middleman Forget him or you'll end up in the hospital again And this time it won't be for the Ritalin binge Forget them other men, girl pay them little attention And little did I mention that Jennifer's in love with me John Mayer, so sit on the bench Man, I swear them other guys you give 'em an inch They take a mile, they got style, but it isn't Slim and of course the most obvious.... Brian Wilson - The Barenaked Ladies [Chorus] Lying in bed just like Brian Wilson did Well I'm lying in bed just like Brian Wilson did. Also Like Toy Soldiers by Eminem features a lot of artists including Dr. Dre, Jay-z, NAS, and Ja Rule. Also many Eminem songs (especially his earlier stuff) features Dr. Dre's name a lot

blind-fitter
Did anybody mention "Kim Gordon's Panties", by Rapeman? Rapeman was Steve Albini's ill-named combo twixt Big Black and Shellac, (which also featured Rey Washam and David Wm. Sims, both formerly of Scratch Acid) The song is less seedy than it sounds: Albini was on friendly terms with Sonic Youth - they were UK label-mates at the time - and the "song" allegedly refers to Kim's attempts to procure disposable underwear from a dispensing machine, whilst the bands were touring together. Or somesuch.

Elvish
Redneck Woman ~ Gretchen Wilson (mentions she knows every Charlie Daniels, Tanya Tucker and Bocephus song at separate points) Tim McGraw ~ Taylor Swift (“when you think Tim McGraw, I hope you think my favorite songâ€) 4th of July ~ Shooter Jennings “We sang Stranglehold to the stereo Couldn't take no more of that rock n roll So we put on a little George Jones and just sang along†David Allan Coe ~ The Ride (“you don’t have to call me mister, Mister: the whole world calls me Hank“) and You Never Even Call Me By My Name: Well, you don't have to call me Waylon Jennings And you don't have to call me Charley Pride And you don't have to call me Merle Haggard, anymore. Even though you're on my fightin' side. Also, he has Willie, Waylon and Me: I'd heard The Burritos out in California could fly higher than The Byrds Roger McQuinn had a 12 string guitar. It was like nothing I'd ever heard And The Eagles flew in from the west coast Like The Byrds they were trying to be free While in Texas the talk turned to Outlaws Like Willie and Waylon and me. Hey! Well that somewhere Texas music is in the make And we've been making music that is free Doing one night stands and playing with our bands Willie, Waylon and me They say The Beatles were just the beginning of everything music could be Just like The Stones I was rolling alone Like a ship lost out on the sea And Joplin would die for the future And Dylan would write poetry And in Texas the talk turned to Outlaws Like Willie and Waylon and me Hey! My name is David Allen Coe and I'm from Dallas Texas. They say Texas music is in the make And we've been making music that is free Doing one night stands and playing with our bands Willie, Waylon and me I'd heard The Burritos out in California could fly higher than The Byrds Roger McQuinn had a 12 string guitar. RyanTurtle
At their concert that I went to they played the Blackbird cover. And it was great, Zia sings lead. They had it streaming on their site for a while, and a copy of the EP came with the limited edition autographed bundle of The Dandy Warhols Are Sound when I bought it.
