Well yes but I tried so long to find it and could remember so little about it, I basically gave up looking

I thought my memories of it were so off I wouldn't be able to give anyone enough info to be able to find it :(

And just to prove how far off I would have been in any information I would have provided you for a search, I was in my last year of High School when that song came out not Junior High

I looked the song up on the main site today :D

Wrong title, wrong year and no idea who sang it. I'm glad I didn't put you guys through that

Ain't No Sunshine -- Bill Withers

My daughter knows that is her song from her mommy. Has been for years :D

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone.

It's not warm when she's away.

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

And she's always gone too long anytime she goes away.

Wonder this time where she's gone,

Wonder if she's gone to stay

Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

And this house just ain't no home anytime she goes away.

I tried to think of something with a deep political or philosophical bent, but love is the best inspirer of conviction.

I completely agree.

Found Out About You - Gin Blossoms.

Doug Hopkins (the writer/guitarist)became depressed and drunken due to a breakup of a relationship. (GF or wife I can't remember which)he became rebellious and to drunk to perform unreliably on stage. Gin fired/replaced him and continued to tour without him. The group became a success and Doug Hopkins became more depressed partly about not being a part of the band. He commited suicide.

I once listening to this song (and only this song) for almost an entire week after having a huge argument with a women. It was nice to know I wasn't the only one who could hurt that bad. That's the definition of conviction if you ask me.

All last summer, in case you don't recall,

I was yours and you were mine; forget it all.

Is there a line that I could write

That's sad enough to make you cry?

And all the lines you wrote to me were lies.

Months roll past the love that you struck dead.

Did you love me only in my head?

The things you said and did to me

Seemed to come so easily.

The love I thought I won you give for free.

Whispers at the bus stop.

I heard about nights out in the school yard.

I found out about you.

Rumours follow everywhere you go,

Like when you left and I was last to know.

Well, you're famous now and that's no doubt.

In all the places you hang out

They know your name and they know what you're about.

Whispers at the bus stop.

I heard about nights out in the school yard.

I found out about you.

Street lights blink on through the car window.

I get the time too often on A.M. radio.

Well, you know it's all I think about.

I write your name, drive past your house;

Your boyfriend's over; I watch your light go out.

Whispers at the bus stop.

I heard about nights out in the school yard.

I found out about you.
