This was a tough week for the nominations, quite a few recieved 40+ votes and didn't make it in. During other weeks, that's enough to get in the top 5 or so.

Yes, I've done some quick stats, and the standard deviation this week is only 16 compared to last week's 20. That basically means that it was all much closer this week.

Running the numbers through my stats grinder I get these relative "scores" for this week and last week:

TT 150:

1.121 Strawberry Fields Forever – The Beatles (1967)

0.323 A Change Is Gonna Come Sam Cooke (1964)

0.246 Life During Wartime Talking Heads (1979)

0.246 Danny's Song Loggins & Messina (1972)

0.213 Strawberry Letter 23 Brothers Johnson (1977)

0.213 Chicago (We Can Change The World) Graham Nash (1970)

0.180 You Were On My Mind We Five (1965)

0.159 Eve The Heavy Sandwich (2008)

0.159 Never Tear Us Apart INXS (1988)

0.148 Waterfall The Stone Roses (1989)

TT 151:

0.575 Soul Kitchen - The Doors (1967)

0.467 Put A Little Love In Your Heart - Jackie DeShannon - (1968)

0.372 King Of Pain - The Police (1983)

0.359 Time Won't Let Me - The Outsiders (1966)

0.345 No One Knows - Queens of the Stone Age (2002)

0.345 Long Tall Glasses - Leo Sayer (1974)

0.278 Up On The Roof - The Drifters (1962)

0.237 Return To Sender - Elvis Presley (1962)

0.237 Rain, The Park and Other Things, The - The Cowsills (1967)

0.223 What's Your Name - Lynyrd Skynyrd (1977)

So... by my top secret formula, any of this week's top six would have made it into 2nd place last week.

Anyway, please ignore this silly fiddling with numbers. It's just a game I like to play...

He's without the Raiders, and the Super Bowl has been without the Raiders since 2004. I get it now.

Reminds me of the joke:

What does the World Series and a mama bear on birth control both have in common?

No Cubs!

Hehehehe..I have another one!

What do you call 52 men watching the Super Bowl ever year?

Answer: The Buffalo Bills :D

I know the youngers' probably don't care much for this Ten, but I love it! Time Won't Let Me .... Yay!! :)

The fact that I love this Ten may have just a smidge to do with the fact that 4 of the ten songs were mine at some point, so I obviously love them .... But mostly it has to do with the fact that they are great songs, by great artists .... nominated & voted for this time by some very discrminating Songfactors! ;)
