LeeBB
Hey Joe (I used to say that to my ex-wife all the time. It never gets old!), It looks like you win tonight's secret bonus prize for being the first person to not include the Runaways in their ten. Add that to your complimentary Chiko Roll for voting for an Australian act, and you just did pretty well for yourself. Congrats! LBB

J Hill
as one of the few (I'm pretty sure) Prefab Sprout fans in the entire US of A, I have to say 'cool list Lee'! 1. A Good Year For The Roses - George Jones - 1970 2. Friction - Television - 1977 3. Man in the Corner Shop - The Jam - 1980 4. Everything Counts - Depeche Mode - 1983 5. Oblivious - Aztec Camera - 1983 6. Appetite - Prefab Sprout - 1985 7. Tower of song - Leonard Cohen - 1988 8. I've Been Waiting - Matthew Sweet - 1991 9. Vicious World - Rufus Wainwright - 2003 10. Perfect Way - Scritti Politti - 1985 I'll try a few answers.... 4. Which two feature Richard Lloyd?Love Comes In Spurts - Richard Hell & the Voidoids and Friction - Television 7. Which one is produced by Thomas Dolby?Appetite - Prefab Sprout 10. Which one was covered as a single by the Screaming Jets?Shivers - The Boys Next Door oh, and one more..... 19. LeeBB
I´m sure UncleJoe will be glad to share the prize with me... I didn´t vote The Runaways either OK, it wasn´t the Easybeats... but I was right for "Evie"... Oh, apologies! Admirably immune to girls in their undies. I'll have to come up with two bonus prizes now, and of course you get a Chicko Roll for the Easybeats. Not quite as winning as Katie, who gets 8 Chicko Rolls, if I'm not mistaken... Yes, those Easybeats are tricky. Most of the classic Easybeats stuff is actually Wright/Young. Friday On My Mind is really the first major Vanda/Young track. (but it's a beautie!) Thanks, LBB Edited January 6, 2009 by Guest
LeeBB
I'll try a few answers.... Okay, you nailed all four of those, J. But there's definitely one more question there especially for you. Thanks for playing, LBB

phil
I'll try a couple of the trivia questions. 2. Which two feature Robert Quine? I'll say the Richard Hell & Mathew Sweet songs. 18. Paul Kelly (one of the acts here) directly borrowed from one of the other songs here when writing "Have you ever seen Sydney from a 747 at night?". Which song did he borrow from? I'll say Dallas by The Flatlanders

Thanks for playing, LBB ..heh... you're scareing me there a little Lee, hmmm, well looking back at your ?'s ... I think I may know this one, (but there could be multiple answers to it too, maybe) 16. Which one of these features the singer from another of these on guitar?..Friction ~ Television (Lloyd / Verlaine ) ...as to which could be my special ? hmmmmm, I hope it has nothing to do with the musical saw (but somehow I'm afraid that it might ) Edited January 6, 2009 by Guest

As you say, there are possibly multiple answers for that one. So... can you justify your answer? ;-) As for your special question, let me say that the Prefab Sprout track is definitely the answer to one more question. thanks heaps! Which of these artists is the only guest musician to ever get a line of dialogue in Buffy the Vampire Slayer? I'm thinking Rufus Wainwright, for some reason. LBB OK, I'm thinking it may be ? #16. I know their 2nd album was named after an American actor who's family didn't like the idea much, so in the states it was released as "Two Wheels Good". But I don't know the Orwellian connection.
