I was watching I Love the 70's 1970 and heard this song. I only heard one line, which is, "Don't cry for me". It's sung by a woman. Does anyone know what it's called or who sings it?

Could this possibly be Don't Cry For Me Argentina from the musical Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice? It was originally produced in the mid 70s (See the link. It might be the 1976 single of this song by Julie Covington).

Madonna performed the Eva Peron role in the 1996 movie version.

Maybe it's "Don't Cry Out Loud" by Melissa Manchester. I don't know if 1970 was the year it came out, but it was a '70's song.
