Lucky
Neil Young released it on Decade too, and the songfacts' artist is Neil Young, not CSN&Y. Then again, the version on Decade is the CSN&Y version... hmmm Ok, here are my thoughts on this. I spent about 1/2 an hour debating with myself and reading everything I could find. The correct first release of the song is CSNY. However the song was written and recorded (but not released) by Neil Young with Crazy Horse in early 1969, prior to Deja Vu. On the Deja Vu version, Young sings lead, with the others serving as backup. All other released versions of the song are Neil Young's. Then, there is the version on The Last Waltz, which is Young's, in collaboration with The Band & Joni Mitchell serving as backup. Obviously, a different year. So I accepted Young as the artist. If everyone feels it is more correct (and technically it is) to go with CSNY that's fine with me.

It is a gorgeous song, TimLizzy. I dig your sentimental side. ** I love, love, love the tens because although it may seem like a full time job with all this nominating and voting every week, I still really enjoy getting to know new songs like these.
