Earth-Angel
I've been looking for this song for about 5 years now...it's a jungle/dance kinda track with drum beats, soothing kind of melody and rainforest bird sounds in the background in some bits. It's a very big long shot, but someone said they have heard it on a Buddha Bar album. Any ideas? There are no lyrics so I have no clue!!
Elvish
Could it be "August Song" by Bebel Gilberto? There's a sample of it at amazon.com. I can't find any lyrics, but this one seems to fit your criteria right down to the bird sounds. Hope this helps!
bazooka
A famous "rainforest bird sounds" instrumental from the late 1950s is Quiet Village by Martin Denny (<) Martin Denny is the founding father of "Exotica" music. Without a doubt, this song influenced any subsequent jungle "bird sounds in the background" tunes.
Earth-Angel
Thanks guys, but it's neither It's more dancy and upbeat, and there is a distinctive tune with bits of drums and bird sounds. It's such a good song and I've got a tiny bit on tape, but would like to find and purchase the MP3 or the album Sounds a bit like it could be Deep Forest. But I don't know. Uncle Joe
Could it be something from the Paul Hardcastle songbook? Like Rain Forest or Summer Breeze for example?

Earth-Angel
heck no! But the BBC is taunting me by playing it on their nature and science programmes!! I was watching something on planets the other night and it was playing in the background!
Earth-Angel
OK, I'm starting to think this could be a William Orbit song...And I keep hearing it on the tv!!! It's used about twice a month on various shows (the last one was 'how to make your garden eco-friendly'). It's a really chilled tune and I really would love to find out what it is.
