cyberjudge
I'm Gonna Make You Love Me - Dee Dee Warwick Another great tribute. I know the Supremes/Temps cover very well, but I didn't even know that Dionne had a sister, much less that Dee Dee did the original version of this classic. J Hill
Tried to think of the first two songs/artists that popped into my head matching both criteria, neither song nor artist nominated: "This World Over" XTC "Move With Me" Tim Buckley it was hard to narrow it down, but I like lots of tunes by both of these, my next two would've been: "Vague Directions" James McMurtry "Blue Monday" New Order
cyberjudge
In honor of Uncle Joe's Phillies making the World Series tomorrow night: Philadelphia Freedom-Elton John (1975) And in the Barack Obama spirit of supporting both teams in the Series, here's a nod to the "Rays": America the Beautiful-Ray Charles (1972)

By the way, it doesn't matter if the artist has been nominated before, as long as the song hasn't made a Top Ten yet.
Lucky
Hey, J glad you decided to join us! Yes, like Seek says, it doesn't matter if a song or artist has been nominated before, so long as the particular song isn't on the "Every Song" lists. Some songs, no matter how great they are take 2 or 3 go rounds to ever make the Ten. Anyway, you've given me an idea .... is it time to think about doing a no #1's ten soon, everybody?? Levis
With my recent discovery of an entire new genre you could do a slew of "never made the TT" TTs and I'd still be able to make unique contributions to each However no #1s is fine by me too
