Shawna
Before I post my list, I want to give props to B-F for "Echo Beach," and CS for "Elspeth of Nottingham." I enjoyed both of those tunes very much. Unfortunately, there were so many noms this time that I grew up with that mean so much to me there's not room for new stuff. Also, Viaene... Fleetwood Mac is one of my all-time favorite bands, and "I'm So Afraid" is a wonderful song... but, for reasons I won't get into here, I can't handle hearing it anymore. Sorry... here goes... 1. Fool If You Think it's Over ~ Chris Rea 2. Help Me, Rhonda ~ Beach Boys 3. Smokin' ~ Boston 4. Rock'n Me ~ Steve Miller 5. How Do You Do ~ Mouth and MacNeal 6. Tenacious_Peaches
1] In The City - The Jam (1977) You better listen, man...the kids know where it's at. 2] That's The Way Love Goes - Janet Jackson (1993) Janet at her best. 3] Little Bit O' Soul - The Music Explosion (1967) I always sing, "Now when you're feelin' low and a fish walks by." Not quite sure why. 4] White Punks On Dope - The Tubes (1977) Fee rocks me in places I won't discuss in public. 5] Groove Me - King Floyd (1970) Awww, sookie sookie now... 6] Fool If You Think It's Over - Chris Rea (1978) Miss Teenage Dream, such a tragic scene 7] Goodnight Saigon - Billy Joel (1982) Billy used to get all the local Vietnam vets to sing backup on this in his concerts back in the day. Very powerful stuff. 8] Fire Woman - The Cult (1989) I used to sing this so loud that I'm surprised I have vocal chords left. 9] It's Sad To Belong - England Dan and John Ford Coley (1977) A classic Peaches clutching a hand to her broken heart song. 10] Sentimental Lady - Bob Welch (1977) 14 joys and a will to be merry. I don't even know what the hell that means, but I like it.
