MindCrime
Ya know MindCrime I find your avie to be slightly disturbing I'm kind of afraid to ask, but what exactly is going on there It's a guy having his head exploded by another man jumping on the boat that he's inflating. Steel2Velvet
As I believe I have at least once before, this week I am nominating two instrumentals that are so brilliant that they don't stand a chance of getting any votes from anyone. Elspeth Of Nottingham - Focus (1972) My dentist has this tune in among her office environmental rotation! When voting time comes, I may experience conflict. One the one hand, the song has that personal familiarity aspect going for it, but also the situational aversion reflex might be too strong for me to acknowledge the correct ranking for the tune. Lea
It's a guy having his head exploded by another man jumping on the boat that he's inflating. That's what I was afraid of I've never seen that happen before and why do I feel you explained it all so casually?

blind-fitter
I did include them, I just didn;t include your edit So you did. I retract my mock hostility forthwith. My first nom was "Ballroom Blitz" by The Sweet, which the whole family has "enjoyed" listening to, repeatedly, on a "Family Favourites" compilation CD I made for our holidays. The Seeker
I... did? Echo Beach was there all along, and so was your second nomination which I can't remember. And I added Stella at 6:44 pm. Now there are three of your nominations on the list and I need to remove the one that made the Top Ten already. miamisammy29
1. Celluloid Heroes - Kinks (The live version from "One For The Road" is one of the greatest songs ever recorded!) 2. Knock Me Down - Red Hot Chili Peppers (This is the wicked awesome tune that really got me into these circus freaks.) 3. Fire Woman - The Cult (The singer's no Jim Morrison, but he could be his understudy.) 4. Goodnight Saigon - Billy Joel (Best song ever written about the Vietnam experience.) 5. White Punks On Dope - The Tubes (The title says it all, man!) 6. Echo Beach - Martha and the Muffins (I remember these weirdos from the early days of MTV. They were comical....kinda like the Waitresses.) 7. Little Bit O' Soul - Music Explosion (The Ramones do a nice cover of this one, too.) 8. Got Me Under Pressure - ZZ Top (Shave the f***in' beards, already, would ya?! You look like the "Homeless Twins" that live a couple of towns over from me.) 9. Life's Been Good - Joe Walsh (Great sh*tfaced sing-a-long song.) 10. All My Friends - LCD Soundsystem (Yeah, I took a listen, and I liked it. Anybody got a problem with that?!)
