I heard they tried to do an American version that didn't do to well, surprise, surprise. No one could fill the lead roles better than John Simm and Philip Glenister.

I was a big fan of the American version and I have to say they stuck pretty close to the British version. The show just never caught on here, and got canceled before it reached its potential. The series finale of the American version sucked out loud unfortunately.

Just finished watching Paul McCartney getting the Gershwin award at the White House. Had some really cool tributes on it aside from the Jonas Brothers.

Just started watching a very good new series on AMC, Rubicon.

It's about a code-cracking analyst at a national think tank who discovers that his employers may be part of a secret society that manipulates world events on a grand scale. It's on Sundays at 9 PM (Eastern).

Excellent writing, especially if you like mystery. Also a very good cast.

Anyone watch Memphis Beat? It's a cop drama set in Memphis starring the guy who played Earl in My Name Is Earl. It's not bad...but the music is GREAT! Lots of Otis Redding, Eddie Floyd, Booker T, etc.
