related to capital crime and hanging matters? Hmmmm... how about Judge Isaac Parker, the "hanging judge."

Wiki: In 21 years on the bench, Judge Parker tried 13,490 cases, 344 of which were capital crimes. Guilty pleas or convictions were handed down in 9,454 cases. Of the 160 (156 men and 4 women) sentenced to death by hanging, 79 were actually hanged. The rest died in jail, appealed, or were pardoned.

Name another notorious judge from the 1800s Old West.

Scientific interlude...

The duck-billed platypus AND the spiny anteater.

I realize that this is old as dirt but absolutely excellent, Brad. I forgot about the Echidna. They should call them "stereotremes." (since there're two)

:D

I've wondered a lot about why such incredible creatures *(Levis included)* are found only in Australia?

Anyway, thanks for the correction.

BTW, Shawna, Judge Roy Bean was a pretty tough one so far as judges go. But, at that time, it was pretty much the lynch mobs' decision, unfortunately.

Post script:

Someone else inquired about short legs... my first thought was George Jetson...

"Jane! Get me off this crazy thing!"

Back to the game...

Name an organism that takes seventeen years to come alive... then; lives, mates and dies in less than eleven hours.

(the answer is NOT sammy)
