I'm still very happy with my list from the previous thread, so I'll just quote that.

My favourite of all time: Minstrel In The Gallery - Jethro Tull (Guitarist: Martin Barre)

My favourite of the last 25 years: Love Your Way - Powderfinger  (Guitarist: Ian Haug/Darren Middleton)

Other favourites:

Bow River - Cold Chisel  (Guitarist: Ian Moss) (NOTE: If I remember correctly, the guitar solo in this live version isn't the same as the studio version. The studio version is much better IMO.)

While My Guitar Gently Weeps - The Beatles (Clapton)

Hard To Handle - The Black Crowes (Rich Robinson)

Remedy - The Black Crowes (Rich Robinson)

Wanted Dead Or Alive - Bon Jovi (Ritchie Sambora)

White Room - Cream (Clapton again)

Maggot Brain - Funkadelic (Eddie Hazel)

Firth Of Fifth - Genesis (Steve Hackett)

Supper's Ready - Genesis (Steve Hackett)

The Knife - Genesis (Anthony Phillips)

Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses (Slash)

Aqualung - Jethro Tull (Martin Barre)

Voodoo Child Slight Return - Jimi Hendrix

Dazed And Confused - Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page)

In The Evening - Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page)

Nothing Else Matters - Metallica (Kirk Hammett/James Hetfield)

Master Of Puppets - Metallica (Kirk Hammett)

Alive - Pearl Jam (Mike McCready)

Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd (David Gilmour)

Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd (David Gilmour)

High Hopes - Pink Floyd (David Gilmour)

Innuendo - Queen (Steve Howe/Brian May)

Sympathy For The Devil - The Rolling Stones (Keith Richards)

Tom Sawyer - Rush (Alex Lifeson)

Well All Right - Santana

Soul Sacrifice - Santana

Better - Screaming Jets (Grant Walmsley)

Eruption - Van Halen

Siberian Khatru - Yes (Steve Howe)

Perpetual Change - Yes (Steve Howe)

I can't think of any to add to that. :)

Yea Ron...

after going through a few times, I managed to get 76 of them. I missed all the Metal stuff except Hells Bells..... I played most of those songs at one time or another in many local bands and in the studio as back up. Not having played seriously for 17 yrs, makes me want to get back into it abit.

J

PS: I would have included "Hotel California" and dumped a lesser known riff.. but thats my opinion...
