Today I bought:

Attack & Release - Black Keys

--> deluxe edition with live dvd!

No Direction Home - Bob Dylan (a Martin Scorsese Picture)

It says "the Ultimate Rock & Roll odyssey" so it'll better be good!:P

Last week I bought the first three Stranglers albums, at £4 apiece. This was to upgrade, as I have them all already in different formats.

No More Heroes - my vinyl original is as warped as hell, and no longer plays.

Rattus Norvegicus - cassette original is now 30 years old, and to be honest,I can never find it whenI might want to listen to it

Black And White - mine was just a copied cassette; a bit rough and, again, never to be found when I want it.

These are all good albums, re-mastered with plenty of singles/b-sides & rarities as bonus tracks, so I consider that as£12 well spent.

Today I have bought :

The Fiery Furnaces - "Gallowsbird's Bark", £4 from the local Oxfam shop. Hope it's good

Ultra Vivid Scene - "Ultra Vivid Scene", on vinyl for £4; post-Mary Chain indie-pop with proto-shoegaze leanings. Fate led it to my door.

Last week, for the trifling sum of 50 pence, (that's half a pound, about the cost of a can of rot-gut cola), I picked up an album by Leeds noisecore brutalists WhoresWhoresWhores!

Sorta like Slipknot might be with the injection of surrealism, irony and a British sense of humour.

I actually got a few CD's as a gift. One was Tonight: Franz Ferdinand which I really liked. I wasn't disappointed when I heard it. I'm so glad they're back. I also got Arden Kaywin's The Elephant in the Room. Didn't really know who she was but I listened to it and got hooked. Really love her voice and the whole indie/pop/rock sound she's got going on. Really worth checking out IMO. Last one I got was Black Eyed Peas' The E.N.D. Really glad to hear some new stuff from them. Can't get enough of them.
