Foolonthehill
Firth Of Fifth - Genesis (best piano intro ever) I'll second that. Also probably the best guitar solo ever. Hell, maybe even the best song ever. My personal favourite keyboardist would be Keith Emerson of The Nice and Emerson, Lake and Palmer.
Ombre Vivante
No Classical stuff? Erik Satie, Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart? I'd say most definitely a collection of Erik Satie piano compositions should be in your collection with some of Chopin's preludes thrown in for good measure Current Pop: "Strange And Beautiful (I'll Put A Spell On You)" by Aqualung "I Adore You" by Melpo Mene Haha. Check out Depeche Mode's cover of Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata." Pretentious, but good http://youtube.com/watch?v=YuMjlGSiVNk The same single includes Martin L. Gore's original composition, "St Jarna" (Swedish word for "star" is "stjarna" ). I think it's a good composition... a bit dark and foreboding. These were the best years of DeMode: Check out Kawai Kenji's score for Kyuuketsuki Miyu: http://youtube.com/watch?v=k1DSOiIgFvo
Ombre Vivante
Oh, man. Check this out: That's one of my favourite compositions. Originally by Koshiro Yuzo for the video game, ActRaiser.
