Complete Control ~ The Clash (1979) Video

They said "release Remote Control"

But we didn't want it on the label

They said "fly to Amsterdam"

The people laughed! the press went mad!

Ooh ooh ooh

Someone's really smart

Ooh ooh ooh

Complete Control - now that's a laugh

Nowhere ~ Therapy? (1994) Video

Heaven kicked you out

You wouldn't wear a tie

Staring at some pictures by yourself

At something that you want to have but will never get

edit: this is the first version I heard of this track

I think I'm in the mood for some harder stuff this week

This is my 10th top 10 :D

Fire Water burn - The Bloodhound gang

I never figured out if this was a hard or a soft song, the bass is quite heavy where the pace is very calm.

God Save the queen - Sex Pistols

I kind of rediscovered them, this was a very big hit and I feel it should be part of our mighty lists because of numerous reasons.

I wouldn't know how to classify that either... but does it matter much?

fun fact: this is one of the three songs that were the first I downloaded from the internet many, many years ago

and it's got a Pixies' reference too

PS Sex Pistols will probably get my vote too

I'd like to nominate Everly Brothers Bowling Green, but it's not on Youtube. Does anyone remember that song and maybe have it?

My friend, I've never heard it. It's never been released on a Single, A or B side, or as an Album Track in the U.S.

Gee, thank you so much, Bluesy! Darryl, it must have been a single, because I remember it was played a lot on radio when I was in the states in 1967.

My second nomination is one of those great songs with a spoken part:

"Well, the last thing I remembered, Doc, I started to swerve

And the I saw the jag slide into the curve..."

Dead Man's Curve - Jan & Dean
