Tony Baloni
I'm pretty sure we're the only country that uses gasoline. Do you guys even have cars...
scott
yeah, just with the way we're set up, we're forced to travel great distances every single day. Like right now, I'm a delivery driver, so gas prices suck majorly. But, when I lived in north dakota, there's like 300+ miles between every city, and if you want something done, or need drugs or whatever (haha!) you have to make that drive like once a week. Blaaahs to america I'm not saying we deserve it(low gas prices), but the powers that be don't want us to be able to just walk everywhere, we're kind of forced into driving. c_s_1987
I do have a car BTW, though my view on the matter may be distorted by the fact that I still only spend about $10 a week on fuel.

Tony Baloni
Why is it so cheap in Venezuala!! Isn't that where the Citgo guy is from?
Farin
in Venezuela the oil and gas companies are all state-owned and thus the gas prizes are heavily subsidised... I once heard someone say that there gas is (almost?) cheaper than clean water

c_s_1987
Diesel is more expensive than regular gas? 'tis here in Australia too. Why? No one knows. In fact, there have been various investigations into the relative pricings of diesel and petrol, but nobody has managed to work it out.
Farin
here Diesel is generally always way cheaper than all kinds of regular gas ("Normal" or "Super")
