Mike
Wow, I just paid $3.47 a gallon; I think that's the most I've EVER paid in my life!! (not in adjusted dollars necessarily - face value) In 1981, I probably paid more per gallon. (adj. for inflation) But it's damn close!! It hit $4.00/gal in Maui today! Shawna
I can remember when I was about 5, my family went on a road trip through the desert to visit my grandparents. We stopped at a little station in the middle of BFE, and the gas was 50 cents a gallon. Apalled, my mom shrieked, "50 cents a gallon? That's highway robbery!" Tony Baloni
I remember how pissed everyone was when it went up to a dollar. Now people would be dancing if the streets if gas was a dollar.
CanAm
Gas here is running at about $1.05/litre. That is roughly about $4.00/American gallon. In Alberta, we're sitting on the ruddy stuff and we still have to pay this outrageous price. Jeez Louise!!

Ken
Do you guys come here to get gas? We did when it was far less expensive, but when you factor in the 4.00 X 2 toll, we only fill up when we go over for a shopping excursion....

c_s_1987
I just don't understand why Americans still complain about their fuel prices, which are very, very cheap compared to the rest of the world. Fuel in Australia is about $5 American per gallon now. Which, in my opinion, is still too cheap.
