Levis
Keane isn't the topic... 2008 in Music is. Ergo, spruiking Something Like Symmetry fits just right. Hack away oh... just looked up the word 'spruik' - it's Australian and I didn't even know
scott
Did you just hack encarta? Because if you just picked a random word...you landed quite a lucky bulls-eye!

Farin
^ in the last reviews I read were quite positive, it got higher rates than eg Dig out your soul (which didn't do too bad either )
TheLizard
eg Dig out your soul (which didn't do too bad either ) I haven't heard anything very positive about Dig Out Your Soul.
Farin
I haven't heard anything very positive about Dig Out Your Soul. short version of the one I read: "The Shock Of The Lightning" - "The Turning" and "Falling Down" (by Noel) - "I'm Outta Time" = late Pink Floyd + John Lennon Gem Archer's "To Be Where There's Life" - Andy Bell's "The Nature Of Reality" - :wacky: "(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady" - all in all, "a mixture of: British Psychedelia, "Revolver", soldiers, god, Roger Daltrey, carousels, and the waiting for happiness. Hopefully at least the 'shrooms were good." 6/10 link if it's of any interest Edited October 13, 2008 by Guest
TheLizard
This review is a bit meaner, then again I'm not sure Rolling Stone has ever liked Oasis. http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/album/23226252/review/23306229/dig_out_your_soul
Batman
^ in the last reviews I read were quite positive, it got higher rates than eg Dig out your soul (which didn't do too bad either ) Well imo it's probably a given that it's better than a new Oasis album, I'm curious if it's as good as Hissing Fauna Are You The Destroyer
TheLizard
Again I'll post the RS review, I guess: http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/album/23226249/review/23306232/skeletal_lamping

Batman
Does Q-Tip have other solo albums? I've only heard albums by A Tribe Called Quest...I'd assume if he has solo albums they're pretty good though.
Tenacious_Peaches
He had Amplified back in '99, which had two singles Breathe and Stop and Vivrant Thing. The first one is meh, but the second one is my joint, yo. There is also a very random collaboration with Korn, End of Time. My favorite is Wait Up. A simple yes would have done, eh? Batman
Korn? weird. The 2nd one was alright but not nearly as good as the two Tribe albums I've heard. Still though, most rap albums aren't as good as The Low End Theory anyways
Tenacious_Peaches
True. I still bust out with a verse or two of Scenario on occasion. Yes, I am a sad old white lady, but I can spit mad game.

Carl
I've been digging on The Asteroids Galaxy Tour. Their song "Around The Bend" is used in the commercial for that iPod-ish thing, but the better track is something called "The Sun Ain't Shining No More." I need to do more research, but I think they're a new Danish band. They sound really different.
