In response to:

- Edna,

- The Seeker,

- Chris (C_S_1987),

- Lucky, (You've got my vote for Merle Haggard; I'm sure we can all relate to this hit song - Workin Man Blues)

- Old 55, (You've got my vote for A Hard Day's Night - The Beatles )

Yeah, it feels good to be back. Wish I had more time to be a 'regular' again.

Another re-re-re-renomination. I can't think of any song I'd want to represent 'me' in this ten, more than this:

Your Woman - White Town

Past experience has revealed that everyone, even those for whom the name is alien, knows this song.

May I get a  or two?

Okay, I'll give you a  because it is a very good song. From my perspective, though, it is more of a  , because I have gone all this time without bothering to at least watch the first few seconds of the video. It is in fact a video I have seen many times, mostly back in the mid-to-late 90s when I regularly watched Rage (one of Australia's chart music shows). The title and artist completely slipped out of my head.

Similarly, I have also heard Tom's Diner before. I will try to vote for both, but there is a lot of competition.

I'll give you three   and

I knew and liked that song when it came out, but totally forgot about it until I was reintroduced to it here on SF :)

Don't know wht, but I always thought that was "Stag-o-Lee"

from wikipedia :

Lee Shelton (also known as Stagger Lee, Stagolee, Stackerlee, Stack O'Lee, Stack-a-Lee and by several other spelling variants) was a black cab driver and a pimp convicted of murdering William Lyons on Christmas Eve, 1895 in St. Louis, Missouri. The crime was immortalized in a blues folk song that has been recorded in hundreds of different versions.
