I suppose the best I can expect is that some of the more modern-minded folks might like these selections a bit more than the other songs they've never heard before, and put them as their #7, #8 or whatever. Shame they'll undoubtedly bomb: both cracking songs.

"Some Day I Will Treat You Good" - Sparklehorse

"Ladies And Gentlemen, We Are Floating In Space" - Spiritualized

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAYS b-f and Radhi. :)

115th Dream - Bob Dylan (1965) (For my Son-in-Law)

At the beginning of the song "Bob Dylan's 115th Dream", on the album "Bringing It All Back Home", he starts to sing the first verse and then suddenly stops, cracking up in uncontrollable laughter. The commonly accepted reason is that the band missed their cue and didn't come in when they were supposed to. Because this recording took place near the very beginning of Dylan's first electric sessions, he wasn't used to playing with a band and just plowed right ahead, causing everyone at the session to laugh at the blooper. Dylan got such a kick out of producer Tom Wilson's laugh that he insisted it remain on the album.

Here Comes The Rain Again - Eurythmics (1984) (For #1 Daughter)

1. I Want It All - Queen (Their hardest and best since "Tie Your Mother Down".)

2. 100 Years Ago - The Stones (Featuring two of the best....Nicky Hopkins on piano and Billy Preston on clavinet!)

3. Jackie Blue - Ozark Mountain Daredevils (As kids, we would play this one on the jukebox and scream "ME!" during the chorus. Yeah, it was funny when we were kids.)

4. Too Much Ain't Enough - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (Definitely one of Tommy Boy's more underrated tunes.)

5. Rockin' Pneumonia And The Boogie Woogie Flu - Johnny Rivers (The only thing you can say about this one is it's cool, just plain cool.)

6. I Shot The Sheriff - Bob Marley & The Wailers (The original is always the best...in this case, by far the best.)

7. Spoonman - Soundgarden (Rock's first and only spoon solo. F***in' awesome, man!")

8. Can't Get Enough - Bad Company (Just straight-ahead kickass rock n' roll!)

9. Picture Book - Kinks (Probably one of my least favorite Kinks tunes, but still decent enough to crack this Ten.)

10. Black Betty - Ram Jam (Probably the most politically incorrect song ever written. You just gotta love it.)

Great Mandella, The (The Wheel of Life) (1967)

Not that I'm expecting an overwhelming vote, but, just for accuracy's sake, we ought to name the artists. That would read:

. . . Great Mandella, The (The Wheel of Life) -- Peter, Paul and Mary (1967)
