ALL FANS OF MUSIC, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO APPRECIATED THE RAW ENERGY OF THE WHO, THE OCCASIONAL SLOPPINESS AND BRILLIANCE OF PUNK, GATHER ROUND! Pavement, is quite simply, brilliant, and with Crooked Rain Crooked Rain, they achieved everything you could want with sound, and then some. Check out the links of songs that Levis put up, they are awesome, then do some youtubeage to check out some music vids and live stuff, it's excellent

Levis
Plenty of time... time enough to hear every single song and read every single review before making a decision And yep... everyone be like Scott. Since we've got such great nominations, you may need to campaign a little more than you're used to so as to give your favourite album(s) (whether you've nominated it/them or not) a bit of a boost. Doesn't hurt to try

Jenny
I'm ashamed to say I haven't listened to many of the albums (only singles from them) and without You Tube at work, I have been devoting any computer time at home to the Top Ten noms, so I'm voting for albums that I have owned, or at least listened to most of. there are so many great ones listed and I will be taking the list of nominations to the local library and doing some serious CD borrowing & Listening! 1. The Stranger - Billy Joel 2. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John 3. Rumours - Fleetwood Mac 4. The White Album - The Beatles 5. Automatic for The People - REM 6. Vs. - Pearl Jam 7. A Night at The Opera - Queen 8. Born To Run - Bruce Springsteen 9. Innervisions - Stevie Wonder 10. CanAm
1. Rumours - Fleetwood Mac 2. Goodbye Yellowbrick Road - Elton John 3. Cosmos Factory - CCR 4. Dire Straits - Dire Straits 5. At Fillmore East - The Allman Brothers Band 6. Crosby, Stills, & Nash - Crosby, Stills & Nash 7. Bad Company - Bad Company 8. Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel 9. Live Bullet - Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band 10. Sticky Fingers - The Rolling Stones So many great albums by The Who, The Band, The Beatles and others that I had to leave off the list!! If almost any other Beatles album had been nominated, it would have received my vote. If someone had nominated Harvest instead of After The Gold Rush, it would have been near the top of my list. I own 16 of the nominated albums on vinyl, cassette or CD.
scott
Crooked Rain Crooked Rain- Listen, enjoy, live- and remember how it feels to rock. Radiohead is great, because they bring musical skill and majesty to...music Nirvana was great cuz they knew how to get punky, and noisy, Pavement has the musical skill of radiohead, the jazz skillz of radiohead ( lean a little more 'free' jazz than RadioHead...) but they lack the pretense and pretentiousness that some may find in Radiohead take the punk rawness of Nirvana, the ability to rock, but take away Nirvana's mopeiness and sad attitude, and you get Pavement, the greatest band of the 90s, and arguably the best ever.
