skybluesky
We here at Songfacts love a good list because they inspire arguments discussions. This list had me arguing with VH-1. The songs they left off say more about the list than what actually went on it. Full List I'll spoil the list and start the discussion by saying No Rain did not make the list, as well as no songs by The Foo Fighters. That is horribly wrong. Farin
first thought: what would a Top 90s list be without Smells Like Teen Spirit on #1 *eye-roll* second thought: I stopped reading at #3... maybe I'll have another look later
The Seeker
That list sounds like the soundtrack of my childhood. Doesn't mean they're good songs or deserve to be on a Greatest Songs list though. Quite a crappy list in my opinion.
c_s_1987
Australian VH1 compiled a list like this. Our list was very slightly better than that one. Perhaps they should have asked a few random members of the public about it before publishing this list. Then they may have realised that rather close to half the songs on the list are songs that nearly everyone hates. Jill
If they were going to include the "greatest" pop songs, Wilson Phillips is missing, IMO!
TheLizard
I only like 21 songs on this list. The 90's were better than 21 songs. You never were very good at this, were you VH-1?

Jill
Thanks Farin! I also think that in another decade, "One" would have been #1, but then again, in the 90s there was that little ditty called "Smells Like Teen Spirit"...ah well.
