DAVID in NJ
Hi... There is this newer song my roomate keeps asking me about. He's not sure of the exact lyrics but he says one line he hears alot is. Seeing,is believing. And also, something about Lying and Denying. He claims it sounds like a white guy. I know there's not much to go on here, but any guesses? thanks in advance ~ DAVID ~ Edited November 30, 2007 by Guest title
Lucky
Welcome to Songfacts David... a couple of questions? What type of music is it? Rock, rap, punk etc... also, is it a solo singer, or a band? A few more clues, and someone will come up with an answer for you, I'm sure!
Ken
Reel Big Fish "The Jokes On Me" The old days were no fun Im not sorry that they're gone I don't miss them and I won't miss them and it was always wrong Everything I've ever done From the beginning and to the ending and things never got better, it seems like forever Since we had fun or maybe I never have fun And this whole time! I've been around One minute up! and a hundred down uhhh ohhh Keep on laughing, Keep attacking I'll show you what it means To keep on lying, Keep denying That there's nothing good in me I'm not worthless, I know you heard this My life's a joke and the joke's on me The joke's on me You were always lame, a headache and a pain I don't miss you and I won't miss you I tried not to get bitter but I was such a quitter Oh yeah I had dreams but they were only ever bad dreams And this whole time! I've been around One minute up! and a hundred down uhhh ohhh Keep on laughing, Keep attacking I'll show you what it means To keep on lying, Keep denying That there's nothing good in me I'm not worthless, I know you heard this My life's a joke and the joke's on me The joke's on me, The joke's on me... Well there never were any good old days Looking back I'm still amazed How everything went wrong in every way There were no good old days Well there never were any good old days Looking back I'm still amazed That everything went wrong in every way There were no good old days [2x] And this whole time! I've been around One minute up! and a hundred down uhhh ohhh Keep on laughing, Keep attacking I'll show you what it means To keep on lying, Keep denying That there's nothing good in me I'm not worthless, I know you heard this My life's a joke and the joke's on me... Ken
Three Days Grace Gone Forever Don't know what's going on Don't know what went wrong Feels like a hundred years I Still can't believe you're gone So I'll stay up all night With these bloodshot eyes While these walls surround me with the story of our life I feel so much better Now that you're gone forever I tell myself that I don't miss you at all I'm not lying, denying that I feel so much better now That you're gone forever Now things are coming clear And I don't need you here And in this world around me I'm glad you disappeared So I'll stay out all night Get drunk and f***ing fight Until the morning comes I'll Forget about our life I feel so much better Now that you're gone forever I tell myself that I don't miss you at all I'm not lying, denying that I feel so much better now That you're gone forever First time you screamed at me I should have made you leave I should have known it could be so much better I hope you're missing me I hope I've made you see That I'm gone forever And now it's coming clear That I don't need you here And in this world around me I'm glad you disappeared I feel so much better Now that you're gone forever I tell myself that I don't miss you at all I'm not lying, denying that I feel so much better now That you're gone forever And now you're gone forever And now you're gone forever
DAVID in NJ
Thanks guys... According to my roomate, the song is played all the time here in the United States on Top 40 radio stations. he says the song is UPBEAT. The only thing about the two songs listed above is that I don't see the words SEEING IS BELIEVING listed and he is fairly sure that is the most prominent lyrical feature. I do know that the song is currently fairly hot and is receiving quite a bit of airplay here in the states. Thanks ~ david ~

The Seeker
How about this one: Seeing is Believing -- Scratch Massive Shift in the sky ? Do you, do you really think that the sun sets When it used to be so high ? Haven't you ever passed in the street An old love that looked like a stranger ? Haven't you ever seen a whole bottle emptied In a hour ? How fast things changes Seeing is believing Seeing is believing Seeing is believing The world will never look quite the same again Have you, have you ever tried to smach Your changing body in the mirror ? Have you, have you ever scratched dead people's face On old photographs ? Have you, have you ever walked through dried corn fields Skulls and ruins ? So why, so why should I believe in your future plans ? How fast things changes Seeing is believing Oh, seeing is believing Oh, oh, oh, oh, seeing is believing No, no the world will never look quite the same again The world will never look The world will never look quite the same again The world will never look quite the same again The world will never look quite the same again The world will never look quite the same again edit: or maybe not. no lying or denying Edited November 28, 2007 by Guest
DAVID in NJ
Hi... That last one, I tried to do a search on it and didn't come up with anything. One thing I DO KNOW about the song is that it had to have been produced in 2007 because it has gotten lots of airplay since September. Thanks again DAVID
DAVID in NJ
bump If my roomate keeps bugging me about this song I am gonna kick his @ss. I have posted here and all over the web and although I appreciate all the help, I still don't know what the song is. Thanks DAVID
Lucky
David, here's an idea for you. If the song has been getting a lot of airplay, why don't you try calling the radio station, and talking to the disc jockey (some can be really helpful, sometimes they aren't). Also, check the stations' playlist, and see if anything there hits you. A thought....
