edna
Although I´m fed up with Stairway and "Wild Horses" or "In my Life" deserve a better place, I´d love to have those songs in a cd... actually, all the 500 of them. Even if I have to listen to some Gabriel or Tull...
RonJonSurfer
Gabriel??? That's a tough one..
johnny
Alot of these songs are not rock.
TheLizard
I disagree, I think they're all rock. Rock and roll is hard to define, a lot of things fit under that blanket term. The real question is, are all of these "classic" (ie Nirvana, Metallica, Bon Jovi)? Not that I don't like those bands, but I think that's using a pretty loose definition of classic. The Seeker
"Tangled Up And Blue?" Is that a new song? Edited November 27, 2007 by Guest to clarify... kind of
blue_n_white
Like any list of any kind, not everybody is going to agree. I don't really agree with this one either but for the most part,it's pretty good. Although I may ask,Meatloaf?? With two songs in the top 199??? That's one of the first signs that you are getting older. Bands that were new or upcoming are now turning into "classic" rock bands. There's some 10 year old kid laughing at your taste in music right now. I remember when songs from my youth got played on the oldies station in New York. Oldies?? It can't be....but it was... miamisammy29
13 STONES SONGS IN THE TOP 200!! I would have had a few more in there, but overall it's a damn fine list.
Kevin
Why is that the top 10 is almost always the let down ? Perhaps these lists should stop at 11 ...
TW Taylor
Top 10 is always a let down, it never changes:ever. Has Stairway ever not been number 1?
Jimmy1104
Although I may ask,Meatloaf?? Hey Blue....I have to say I don't think Paradise By The Dashboard Light would be a question being on a top 199 list. On the other hand Bat Out Of Hell is a great rock classic and I would have placed it higher, perhaps in the top 20. Back about ten years ago, at that time I had heard the album continued to sell upwards of a million copies a year. I am sure it is still a big seller. TW Taylor
149 Led Zeppelin Thank You Wait a second...I thought that was the one Zeppelin song nobody ever hears about, and the most underplayed song of them all?
