TheLizard
Two thousand seven comes now to a close Just one more footnote in the books of time And with the fleeting year my childhood goes As with the wind that blows the ancient chime I’ve spent my years in visions of what comes Not once did I observe the here and now And now I’m destined furthermore to roam, Once youthful, now regret furrows my brow But no, what is this time that rules us so? A law of God or a machine of man? Into the great unknown we must all go Perhaps there truly is for all a plan I must not fear the coming of the sun For if I do my dreams will come undone
The Seeker
May I steal this one? I have to write a sonnet and hand it in on Monday. (well, that's one option anyway) I like it!
TheLizard
Yeah, I wrote this one for school too, but I liked it enough to post it. Steal it if you wish, but I think the professor might be a little suspicious about somebody who's already at university writing on this subject matter. The Seeker
They check everything for plagiarism anyway. And don't worry, I'd never sell someone else's work as my own. So... did you get a good grade?
TheLizard
I don't know, I turn it in next week.
Shawna
Tim ~ I love this. It's eloquent, it says a lot! I re-read it three times to let it sink in. It's almost like you've aged over the course of it... and the question about time being a trick of fate or god... deep stuff here... you have a couple of hooks you could branch off into other stuff if you wanted. Nicely done.
