Submitted for your disdain, a look at a data/video format of the recent past. (Streaming and The Cloud saved us!?) Prepare for a deep dive into a recordable data format war which, on the user end, mattered little. (Unless you tried to find a DVD player that would reliably play both formats, that is.) As a trailing-edge-tech-dinosaur, I still use DVD-R for video, since I prefer "chapters every 5 minutes" of play as opposed to DVD+R's "every 8 minutes." So, do you remember these DVD formats, at all?
