Quick, what costs 499 Pounds Sterling and has NO external inputs at all? Techmoan ordered one at a significant discount out of curiosity. What do you get for such a princely sum? Three foam-covered modules that require you to read the Instruction Manual! I've been leery of Bluetooth technology, since it sometimes disconnects or takes a while to connect to Ye Olde Windows 10 T530 ThinkPad. So I'm especially skeptical of a system that doesn't have a plug for Ye Olde Stereo Headphone. What is this thing for?;)

It's Saturday and "Techmoan" intercepted a hifi package headed for the dump. Will he be able to get this "too old to still be working" Mini system? It's a Sony! It's an Aiwa? Does it work? Inquiring minds want to know... There are various suggestions as to what's wrong as well as what to do with the radio and MiniDisc drive...;)

Do you remember Kickstarter? Have you ever backed "something new/different/revolutionary" on Kickstarter? Matt has something to show you! Matt had a Miniot Wheel 2 turntable in storage, was about to connect it up, when Miniot suggested a trade-in for a Wheel 3 demo... Thrill now to a moving "upside down stylus" that reads from below, seen from Matt's transparent LP...;) -
The Time/Space continuum has been disrupted! Matt has replaced some tech with "new shoes.";) Matt likes "silver finish integrated amplifiers with big VU meters!" Techmoan isn't an audiophile; that lifestyle is way too expensive, since he actually listens to music on his gear.;)

Ladies and gentlemen, "Techmoan" has a wonder of the ages for your children! The "Say It! Play It!" recorder/player for up to 3 minutes of annoying/embarassing/"colorful metaphors" and sound nibbles. Does it play? No. Does it record? No. Time for "The Techmoan repair show" minus expletives deleted...;) What audible gems of the past are on these tape cartridges? Only "Techmoan" knows for sure...

Oh dear, Matt's primary FM tuner's signal strength meter isn't working! What will "Techmoan" do? Fortunately, our favorite old tech collector has an interesting backup tuner. H. H. Scott Y-225: punch card-programmable tuner! As the link shows, this vintage tuner has an interesting alternate way to tune in your favorite FM radio station. What else does this "full featured" 1970's FM tuner have in it's box of tricks that require several manuals to uncover?;)
