  3. The most fascinating things show up at Techmoan's door. Rescued from the dumpster is another endless-loop tape system player with strange cartridges. Press PLAY to find out what's on the tape.;) Note: The Moan Family Puppets are back!
  4. It's a somewhat hot, humid day here, so this "neck/personal air conditioner" might be ideal for August. Press PLAY to find out if this "keep a cool head" thing works...;)
  5. Matt asked the question: Are Boomboxes still being made? Submitted for your amusement, "Techmoan" searches for a modern day Boombox and, 250 Pounds Sterling later, has a big, heavy battery-powered audio package. Press PLAY to see the Moan Family Puppets and the Boombox in action!;)
  6. Agent .177 has a mystery case to reveal. Matt has a "language lab in a box," complete with tapes to learn, say, French. Press PLAY to experience the immersion that "Tina Belcher" felt in the "Bob's Burger's" episode, "Y Tu Tina Tambien.";)
  7. In the "how about that" department of useless information, Matt reveals that binoculars aren't his thing. Press PLAY to find out what "Techmoan" does with a Monocular.
  8. June is coming to an end, and Matt is going outside to test a 120 Pounds Sterling do-it-all gadget. Press PLAY to find out if there's some Candy in your future...
  9. Submitted for your amusement, Matt takes on two Karaoke units in spirited combat! Press PLAY if you want to find out how far the usual "clean contacts/reseat components/play around with odd mechanisms" takes our favorite tech tinkerer.;)
  10. Hot from Techmona's storage locker, several boomboxes on display! The first wave were huge, full-featured, and expensive statements for Pop music stars of the 1980's. 11. It's June 8, 2024 and Matt has something completely different to show. Press PLAY if you want to find out if "Techmoan" can get his dodgy 1960's Stereo Tefifon to work!
  12. The Tefifon, a recorded-groves-on-a-felxible-tape in 1950's Germany has returned. Techmoan's original video on the Tefifon inspired a YouTube viewer to dive into all things Tefifon, find information, spare parts, and restore(!) tapes. Press PLAY if you want to find out why Tefifon disappeared in the early 1960's and learn of a STEREO Tefifon!
  13. It's early Saturday in 1970's Japan, and you're gonna record TV audio on the Sony VT-M5 in your component stack. "Techmoan" in 2024 wonders what he can do besides just recording mono TV audio. Press PLAY if you want to follow Matt's "down the rabbit hole" to see if a Japan domestic TV tuner can display modern video signals! (Otherwise, TV audio looks like vertical squiggly lines on the CRT.;)
  14. Do you want your music/movies/games to "rock your world" like living inside a Bass drum? "Techmoan" looks at a heavy duty bass vibrator that "Kaylee Frye" might own. Press PLAY for other uses for this thing that runs on batteries...;)
  15. Do you have a Sony Walkman player that only lets you use the radio? Fear not. "Techmoan" goes where modern repairmen won't go to replace gummed up drive belts. Press PLAY to find out if Matt can get this old Walkman to play a tape!
  16. Most Sony Sports audio players came in yellow, right? Not so, says "Techmoan," the Sports players of the 2000s were "white goods." Press PLAY to find out about these lesser known "turn of the century" Sony Spotrs units.
  17. Kickstarter programs seen on the internet have a "silicon snake oil" air about them, promising much and sometimes delivering, but often not. Matt signed on as a Backer for Miniot's Wheel in 2017, waited...and waited, wondering what had happened. Press PLAY if you want to find out what Techmoan's over-2,000 UK Pounds got him, if you dare.;)

  23. It's Saturday morning, time for another "Techmoan" Tech video. Did you ever hear about "MQA-CD"? Me neither, by that time, in the early 2000s, music CD sales were about to take a death dive. "Media streaming services" offered EVERYTHING recorded "at any time/all the time" without the "clutter of physical media." Back in 2018, "Techmoan" looked at MQA-CD and found that the decoders and players were only available at "Audiophile Prices" (Thousands of Pounds Sterling, of course.;) Recordings of this latest "better than regular CD" format were available only in Japan.
