Hey gang,
So--- I was listening to the radio the other day, and "There She Goes" came on-- cool song. I've loved it since the first time I heard it. But, even though I've heard it a million times, it suddenly dawned on me the other day as I was listening, "Oh my gosh... it sounds like they're talking about drugs!" So then I got online, did a lyric search, and read all the lyrics (you can't always tell what they're saying) and then I was even more convinced. I looked at a couple of the next hits, and it turns out there's a whole site for songs about Heroin, and "There She Goes" is listed. Of course, that could just be the site owners opinion. I really like that song. It's still good, awesome music, but I'll be totally bummed if that's what it's really about. Especially since the group that re-recorded it, Sixpence None The Richer, is supposed to be a Christian group.
Here are the lyrics-- am I just being paranoid?
"There she goes
There she goes again
Racing through my brain
And I just can't contain,
this feeling that remains
There she blows
There she blows again
Pulsing through my vein
And I just can't contain,
this feeling that remains
There she goes
There she goes again
She calls my name, pulls my train
And no-one else can heal my pain
But I just can't can't contain,
this feeling that remains
There she goes
There she goes again
Chasing down my lane
And I just can't contain,
this feeling that remains
There she goes
There she goes
There she goes"
