  1. You got that one Muzyk - they do this at the end of roxanne too - and roxanne is a great song if it would end about 5 minutes sooner! :sleepy:
  2. My picks for most underrated : Bad Company - and Paul Rogers' other band too - Free, both highly underrated; also Thin Lizzy - and Does anyone remember Quicksilver Messenger Service - I never even hear them on classic rock channels (they hold a special place in my heart since they were the featured group at the first concert I ever went to - we won't say when that was.) I love Alice in Chains and they too are seriously underrated as are Flaming lips and the Pixies and the cure. A Perfect circle and audioslave are underrated.
  3. It's "Watching You" by Wayne Wonder on the disc "Da Vibe" here's a link to the lyrics watchingyou
  4. I really agree - you have the same list as me - hendrix, srv, clapton, gilmour, page and I would add EDDIE VAN HALEN he's the fastest guitar in the west (oh and he's adorable)which is important for a rock star. :guitar:
  5. my very favorite is crash into me I'm also partial to the one with the line "we'll walk right out of here"?
  6. do you mean the movie - mona lisa smile - or is this something else?
  7. It's definitely about the singer getting a big time celebrity law firm that reps the beachboys and the stones and he wants to be schmoozed more than he is - he wants to be bigger time.
  8. it was tal bachman - offspring of the bachman in bto
  9. I'll have to check out the 1st disc - I thought Dry your eyes was great but I'll trust your opinion Sengir - and Gillian - the first time I heard them was kinda like the 1st time I saw trainspotting - it's a little hard to understand all the dialog but well worth the effort.
  10. Really - these guys are really really good - I'm gonna give you guys another chance to check them out. They deserve a listen.
  11. they're reminiscent of the velvet underground to me and my friends thought they sounded like the kinks. I think they're pretty amazing.
  12. This band rocks - they remind me of johnny lang and I'd love to see them do a hendrix tribute. It doesn't look like there are any east coast dates on the tour though.
  13. The sun don't shine The moon don't move the tides, to wash me clean Sun don't shine The moon don't move the tides, to wash me clean Why so unforgiving and why so cold Been a long time crossing Bridge of Sighs Cold wind blows The Gods look down in anger, on this poor child Cold wind blows And Gods look down in anger, on this poor child Why so unforgiving and why so cold Been a long time crossing Bridge of Sighs:beatnik: Trower ROCKS
  14. I'd definitely put some Boz Scaggs on there -Lido shuffle or Alan Parsons project = I wouldn't want to be like you. Also Time and Wish you were Here -Pink Floyd, Mama Kin - Aerosmith, Blinded by the light - Manfred mann(?) Whatever gets you through the Night - John Lennon
  15. CLerks is my favorite, Dogma second. And that reminds me of the other really hilarious duo making movies - Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau- Swingers and Made really rock - they are money babe!
  16. You are so right - Frailty had one of the best twists ever, as did Identity - I turned that one off the 1st time I rented it and my daughter made me watch it - Jacob's Ladder has a great twist and Usual Suspects - one of my favorite movies...as is American Beauty (kevin spacey is amazing) I saw the butterfly effect a few months ago and it rocks- ashton kutcher really surprised me - also Donnie Darko. As for Primal Fear - just watched it again a few weeks ago and edward norton as aaron - brilliant, whoever mentioned memento - great twist and fight club is friggin' incrdible! Does anyone remember a movie in the 70's with Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve where thry were alone in this apartment and playing this like weird game where you never kept thinking you knew what was going on and then you didn't. The Sting has one of the best endings ever, and Bound was really surprising as was mulholland dr.
  17. two of my favorite baltimore bands from the 70's had really great names - Facedancer and Crack the Sky - anybody else remember them? Other good/weird names- My Morning jacket, Veruca Salt, toad the wet sproket, they might be giants and herman's hermits. oh and for carl - I read somewhere that the frontman for Hoobastank was asked where they got the name and he said it was what the H in Jesus H. Christ stood for. Who knew?
  18. Love them!! I love this line from sometime: Oh, my ex says i'm lacking in depth I will do my best You say you wanna stay by my side Darling your head's not right
  19. So did Richard Ashcroft write the song - except for the part the Stones were so anal about? I love the video for this...and I love ashcroft - it sounds like he's got alot of integrity.
  20. Fleetwood Mac's Rumors is all about starting over , starting new lives - this is one of my favorites: Don't Stop by Christine Mcvey If you wake up and don't want to smile, If it takes just a little while, Open your eyes and look at the day, You'll see things in a different way. Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow, Don't stop, it'll soon be here, It'll be, better than before, Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone. Why not think about times to come, And not about the things that you've done, If your life was bad to you, Just think what tomorrow will do. Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow, Don't stop, it'll soon be here, It'll be, better than before, Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone. All I want is to see you smile, If it takes just a little while, I know you don't believe that it's true, I never meant any harm to you. Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow, Don't stop, it'll soon be here, It'll be, better than before, Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone. Don't you look back, Don't you look back.
  21. I hope someone out there knows the answer to this - when I first heard this on the movie "cruel intentions" I was told it was a cover of a rolling stones tune - I really don't remember the stones doing it though, I have searched all over the internet to see who wrote it - most credit the verve who did the song on their album - one site even credited God. Does anyone know?
  22. I completely agree with you Cindy - but I think our rather clueless friend should begin with take that dose at least 3 times a day for the first seven days. In answer to the original question -GREAT...GREAT...GREAT :guitar:
  23. hey gigolo, your link didn't work, took me to your yahoo page or something butthere was nothing there to listen to. myabe you could try again.
